Natalie’s performance on VH1’s “Storytellers” reunited her catalog, treating her entire career as one piece and talking about the inspirations behind her solo hits as well as the 10,000 Maniacs biggest songs. The small audience at the intimate concert was treated to a survey of a remarkable body of work and some insights into how much her songs, old and new, have in common. Filmed on September 14, 1998 at the Manhattan Center in New York, Natalie Merchant’s episode of “Storytellers” demonstrated everything the series was supposed to be.

Filmed from 1982 to 1993, this visual history of the 10,000 Maniacs captures every stage of the band’s remarkable career, from home movies and rare early performance footage to hit videos such as “Like The Weather” and “Trouble Me.” The DVD also includes three videos not featured in the original release: “These Are Days,” “Candy Everybody Wants,” and “Because The Night” from the band’s triumphant MTV Unplugged appearance.
